 |
Sloth Bear Foundation mini adventure program is packed with lots of adventure and fun. The volunteers go through a week of volunteering program followed by a week of either wildlife, heritage or beach tour to different parts of Karnataka and Goa. The stay during volunteering program is either with host families or at the SBF camp. While touring, the volunteers will stay in medium budget hotels or forest guest houses.
Volunteers will be accompanied by a guide who is well informed about the whole area. The food served during the trips may vary from place to place. The tour is in a non-airconditioned car or SUV depending upon the number of volunteers. However, we expect at least 2 volunteers in a batch to make the whole program viable.
You may choose between the three programs.

PROGRAMME 1 - Volunteering with wildlife tour
|
| Day 01 | Arrival at Bangalore airport. Transfer to a hotel or a guest house. Sight seeing in and around Bangalore during the day and proceed to Bellary by night train. |
| Day 02 | Introduction to the host families or the SBF camp. Volunteering program begins. |
| Day 03 | Volunteering continues. Visit the local cultural and heritage spots.Volunteering continues. Visit the Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary. |

| Day 09 | Proceed to Ranebennur Black Buck Sanctuary and the Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary. Night stay at the Forest guest house. |
| Day 10 | Proceed to Someshwara wildlife Sanctuary. Safari and trekking in the forest. White water rafting in season at an extra cost. Night stay at the Sitanadi nature camp or a hotel. |
| Day 11 | Proceed to Kudremukh National Park, the land of lion tailed macaques and great pied hornbills. Safari and trekking in the park. Night stay at the Bhagawati nature camp, Kerekatte forest guest house or Soans Farm at Moodbidri. |
| Day 12 | Proceed to Bandipur National Park, the land of tigers and elephants in the Nilgiri biosphere. Night stay at the forest guest house or a hotel. |
| Day 13 | Safari, trekking, elephant ride inside the Bandipur National Park. Night stay at the forest guest house or a hotel. |
| Day 14 | Proceed to Bangalore. Shopping at Bangalore. Proceed to the airport.

PROGRAMME 2 - Volunteering with Heritage tour
|

| Day 09 | Proceed to Bijapur. Visit the world famous Gol Gumbaz ,which is the second largest dome in the world, Muhammed Adil Shah’s Mausoleum, Ibrahim roza, Mallik-e-maidan, Bara Kaman, Jamia Masjid and other monuments built by the Bahamini kings. Night halt at Bijapur. |
| Day 10 | Proceed to Aihole, Badami and Pattadakal. Visit the world famous rock cave temples. Night stay at Badami. |
| Day 11 | Proceed to Belur and Halebidu. Stay overnight in a hotel. |
| Day 12 | Visit to temples at Belur and Halebid. Proceed to Shravanabelagola. Visit Gomateshwara statue. Stay overnight in a hotel. |
| Day 13 | Proceed to Mysore. Visit the Mysore palace, Chamundi Hills, Srirangapatna, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, etc. Stay overnight in a hotel. |
| Day 14 | Proceed to Bangalore. Shopping at Bangalore. Proceed to the airport.

|

| Day 05 | Vounteering continues. Local visits continue. |
| Day 06 | Vounteering continues. Local visits continue. |

| Day 09 | Proceed to Goa. Visit the beaches, churches, temples and all the other tourist destinations. Night stay in a hotel. |
| Day 10 | Stay at Goa. |
| Day 11 | Proceed to Karwar. Visit the beaches, etc. Night stay in a hotel. |
| Day 12 | Proceed to Gokarna. Visit the beaches and temples. Night stay in a hotel. |
| Day 13 | Proceed to Mangalore. Visit the beaches, churches, temples, soans botanical farm at Moodbidri, etc. Night stay in a hotel or at Soans Farm. |
| Day 14 | Proceed to Bangalore. Shopping at Bangalore. Proceed to the airport.

Fee Includes :
Airport receive and drop off, pre-trip information, one week of volunteering, all meals, accommodation at various places, support, trained guide , non aircon hotel room, non- aircon car or SUV, entry into the forest, safari in a department vehicle*, elephant rides*, trek, still camera fees. However, the volunteers have to pay for any adventure based activities like white water rafting, rappling, etc.
An amount of 450 euros has to be sent to the SBF 2 months in advance by Demand Draft or wire transfer in the name of ‘Sloth Bear Foundation’ payable at Bellary, India and the remaining money can be paid at the beginning of the volunteering program. However, there is no refund against cancellation for this program as the rooms and other facilities have to be booked well in advance by paying the full amount.
Fee excludes:
International air tickets, visa fee, personal insurance, airport tax, personal and incidental expenses like phone calls, laundry, alcohol, etc.
*Safaris and elephant rides are available in a few parks only.
