Language And Culture Program ( 2 Weeks)
This is a program which is basically designed for the enrichment of the volunteers. Volunteers need to come to India with a willingness to live a simple life and adhere to local customs and culture. Our main emphasis here is the language training, cultural experience, visits to places of interest and independent exploration. India has a rich heritage and culture and this program opens up these vistas of knowledge where volunteers learn about India by becoming familiar with the local language, culture and heritage of the land and also by living among the people of the land just like a native.
The first phase of the program helps volunteers to develop their competency in kannada language by learning the basic phrases and verbs commonly used, prior to their practice in the field. In the second week of the program, volunteers practice the kannada language working in different projects. Through this program, volunteers learn first hand about India and its people and many exciting aspects of Indian culture, while visiting some of the most spectacular places in this part of the world. It is like experiencing life on another planet.
