The Sloth Bear Foundation plans to build an exclusive camp with ethnic Indian village looks to accommodate the volunteers/interns , wildlife researchers, photographers and conservationists who visit that area. The area chosen is near the UNESCO’S world heritage center Hampi which was the seat of the earstwhile vijayanagar empire founded by Hakka and Bukka. This place is also used to house a botanical nursery to propogate the saplings for tree planting programmes in the bear habitats and a medicinal plantation farm.
