Wildlife In India
 India's wildlife is both rich and varied. More than 12% of India's land is under forest cover- there are at least 90 national parks and 482 wildlife sanctuaries. More than 500 species of mammals, 1, 220 species of birds, 1, 600 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 57, 000 species of insects populate the subcontinent. India harbors 60% of the world's wild tiger population, 50% of Asian elephants, 80% of the one-horned rhinoceros and the entire remaining population of the Asiatic lion. The untamed Indian sub-continent conceals infinite diaspora and ecological variance found here indeed takes all beyond the contours of wild imagination.
This tour is an extention to a vacation from Goa. Depending on the duration this tour gives you a glimpse of some of the wildlife of Karnataka or enjoy a long tour across any National Parks and Wild Life Sancturies.
The trips will be guided by Sandeep Chakrabarti/ Sandesh Kadur / D.K.Bhasker / S.Kartkikeyan / Santosh Martin / Harshavardhan Varma / Chummi Poovaiah, who are naturalists accredited by the Wildlife division of the Karnataka forest department.
The Sloth Bear Foundation is a non-profit, self-reliant and independent organization registered as a trust. Participation in tours and expeditions contributes the needed money to fund the SBF conservation and rehabilitation projects.
